It's a 9-day event where over 700 balloons see liftoff. It's the largest hot air balloon festival in the entire world and we were on hand to capture the action. .."Joel Schat.

I met Senor Carlos Humberto Aguilar Uguet, 81 years old. He still works as a tailor in a small shop in Merida. When he heard that I was french, he sang, "The Marseillaise", the french national anthem in spanish.  He  learned it when he was at the elementary school as a student.
